Bio
Tina Peacock is a Dorset based artist working in the tradition of Abstract Expressionism. She creates large scale and smaller sized mixed media paintings on canvas, paper or wood. Applying layered textures interspersed with painterly and linear gestures, Peacock's intuitive process is informed by emotional connection and fragmented memory through recollection of place. A journey exploring internal thought space as a form of land, blurring the line between pure abstraction and representation. Preferred media is acrylic paint, charcoal, graphite, soft pastel and oil pastel.

Peacock has worked hard to develop her professional and creative practice over the last decade having graduated from the Contemporary Art Academy, London in 2025. Having previously attended AUB to study Art & Design, she has studied with Newlyn School of Art as well as the Classical Art Academy Atelier, Southbourne. There are many other artist led workshops in the mix too, including artists books, monoprinting, linocut, collage, mixed media techniques and creating earth based pigments amongst many others.

Peacock has taught painting workshops at Shire Hall Museum, Dorchester and at Walford Mill in Wimborne during her time as a resident artist at the Mill. Collaborating with fellow resident artists and trustees, she has gained valuable experience curating and stewarding exhibitions, hosting open studio events and attending management meetings. Regular applications to Open Calls and Residencies advance Peacock's development further.

Exhibiting nationally, including as a selected artist at Bath Contemporary Artists Fair, Peacock has recently gained professional recognition having been selected by the International arts organisation ArtCan as a Member Artist. Other artist organisations she's involved with include Cosimo Art, Dorset Visual Arts, Visual Artists Association & Parker Harris/The Art Ladder.
